Year 1 do P.E. every Thursday and Friday afternoon so please ensure your child wears their correct kit to school. They should be in footwear suitable for running around.
Mrs Sarmiento will be teaching the children some Spanish phrases and songs every Friday afternoon.
Maintaining excellent attendance and punctuality is very important. Please ensure your child is present and punctual at the beginning of the day. Gates open at 8.45 and the first lesson starts at 9am. The children are collected from their classroom door at 3:30pm.
How you can help
Please read with your child every day and record this in their reading record. When you are reading ask your child questions about the book to ensure they have a good understanding. They do not have to read their school reading book every day; they can read other books for pleasure.
Please help your child practise their spellings so that they are prepared for their spelling test on Friday. Homework should be completed and returned to the teacher.
